Dr. Jaime L. Anderson
Dr. Anderson joined the faculty in the Department of Psychology and Philosophy at Sam Houston State University in 2016. She received her B.A. in Psychology and German from the University of Dayton, her M.S. in Clinical Psychology from Eastern Kentucky University, and her Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology with a specialization in Psychology and Law and minor in Quantitative Methods from the University of Alabama. Dr. Anderson’s primary research interests focus on the assessment and diagnosis of personality psychopathology, with a particular emphasis on dimensional measures and models of personality, the clinical utility of such models, and the use of dimensional models of personality psychopathology in understanding individual outcomes.
Dr. Anderson is actively involved in the Society for Personality Assessment, where she serves on the board of trustees in the Secretary position. She is an Associate Editor for Psychological Assessment, and also serves on the editorial boards of Assessment, the Journal of Personality Assessment, Personality Disorders: Theory, Research, and Treatment, and Psychological Injury and Law. At SHSU, she primarily teaches Assessment of Personality and Psychopathology in the MA and Ph.D. programs.
Dr. Anderson is a licensed psychologist in Texas, where she supervises both individual therapy and assessment and co-owns Anderson & Marek Psychological Assessment Services.

Graduate Students
Nicole Shumaker, M.A.
Nicole is a sixth-year doctoral student in the Clinical Psychology program. She graduated magna cum laude with honors from the University of Notre Dame in 2020 with a B.A. in psychology, political science and Spanish. Her senior honors thesis focused on gender differences in the expression of the constructs within the Short Dark Triad. Her research interests are still developing, but she leans towards a focus on forensic application of psychopathology. This includes the study of cross-cultural and gender differences of personality constructs, with a specific interest in psychopathy. She is currently an intern at UMass Chan Medical School.

Hannah is a fifth-year doctoral student in the clinical psychology program. She received her bachelor’s degree in Psychology with a minor in Anthropology from Central Michigan University. Hannah’s research interests include the perpetration of violent crime with a particular focus on sexual aggression. Danna Ramirez, M.A.
Danna is a fourth-year doctoral student in the Clinical Psychology program. She was born and raised in Colombia and moved to the United States in 2011. She graduated from Baylor University in 2020 with a B.S. in neuroscience and a minor in forensic sciences. Post-graduation she worked at The Menninger Clinic for 2 years as a clinical research assistant. She is interested in the conceptualization and assessment of personality psychopathology, the role of pathological personality and other severe and persistent mental illness in forensic assessments, and psychopathic personality and decision-making.
Danna is a fourth-year doctoral student in the Clinical Psychology program. She was born and raised in Colombia and moved to the United States in 2011. She is interested in researching predictors of trauma and sexual violence, as well as gaslighting and its personality and behavioral correlates. She is also interested in investigating medical gaslighting among individuals with gynecological disorders.

Kelsey Priebe, Ph.D.
Kelsey earned her Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from SHSU in 2025. She is interested in personality psychopathology, intimate partner violence, and broad forensic practice. She completed her predoctoral internship at Western State Hospital and will be starting her post-doctoral fellowship at the Medical University of South Carolina (MUSC).
Kelci Davis, Ph.D.
Kelci earned her Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from SHSU in 2025. She is interested in sexuality, the intersectionality of marginalized communities (LGBT+ populations, ethnic minorities, etc.) and personality assessment. She completed her predoctoral internship at the Kansas City VA and will be starting her post-doctoral fellowship with the University of Missouri-St. Louis.

He completed his internship at the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center and post-doctoral fellowship in neuropsychology at the University of Nebraska Medical Center (UNMC). He is currently an assistant professor of neuropsychology at UNMC.
