Current or Upcoming Projects
Students in the APP lab are working on several research projects related to the assessment of personality psychopathology. In addition to the work we are doing with lab collaborators and existing data, below is a list of current (or upcoming!) data collections:
The Utility of Personality Psychopathology in Understanding Probation Outcomes
Investigator: Dr. Anderson
Description: This project examines the extent to which pathological personality traits (particularly those associated with psychopathy) are predictive of outcomes for individuals on probation.
Funding: University of Minnesota Press; Sam Houston State University Internal Grant Program
Concurrent Validity of the MMPI-3 with Post-9/11 Veterans
Investigators: Dr. Anderson and Dr. Dustin Wygant (PI; Eastern Kentucky University)
Description: This study examines the utility of the MMPI-3 in assessing a broad range of psychopathology in veteran populations.
Funding: University of Minnesota Press
Examination of the Spanish Translation of the MMPI-3
Investigators: Dr. Anderson, Tessa Long, & Dr. Alfonso Mercado (University of Texas, Rio-Grande Valley)
Description: This study examines the Spanish translation of the MMPI-2-RF, with particular focus on whether the Spanish translation adequately measures personality psychopathology.
Assessment of the AMPD Across Methods
Investigators: Dr. Anderson and Dr. Jared Ruchensky
Description: This study examines the assessment of personality psychopathology, particularly externalizing behaviors, in a sample of undergraduate students. It includes an evaluation of the PAI, self-report AMPD measures, and interview-rated AMPD traits and impairment.

Description: This study examines the use of the MMPI-3 among gender diverse populations
Funding: University of Minnesota Press
